Last year we were approached by a student from the Design Academy in Eindhoven with a special idea. The Lithuanian Agne Kucerenkaite wanted to use aquafer in her glass and ceramic work; she exhibited the successful project at the Dutch Design Week 2016.
With her beautiful collection of glazed porcelain, she recently won the Good Design Award in her home country. Her work has attracted a lot of attention in the media, including the Financiële Dagblad and the New York Times.
The designer recently expanded her collection with ceramic tiles. Each tile is handmade and unique. In the composition one can also work with light and colours to achieve the most attractive effect. This can be seen for instance at Jordy’s Bakery in Rotterdam. It’s irresistible to the kids and, to tell the truth, we also have trouble keeping our hands off!
