AquaMinerals participated in a joint exhibition stand of the IWA ‘Cluster for Resource Recovery from Water’ at the World Water Congress & Exhibition in Copenhagen (11-15 September). The Cluster opted not to profile itself at the congress through presentations and workshops, but instead to show the range of resources that are already being recovered along with the products/applications they are used in.
The exhibition presented a very impressive range of resources and products. This concerned without exception the real residual streams and products, which were all accompanied by information posters. This exhibition was made possible thanks in part to the sponsorship of Cranfield University and @Nextgen Water Solutions.
The exhibition’s aim was to show visitors that resource recovery from water (treatment) is already a common practice in numerous places. This informative and sensory exhibition inspired visitors and, if the organisers have their way, will lead to the subject being placed on the agendas of water company management teams all over the world.
The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition is the global event for water professionals covering the full water cycle. During six days, thought-leaders, decision makers, leading researchers and business representatives from within and outside the water sector focus on water solutions to shape our water future.
This edition of the World Water Congress & Exhibition reported on the progress of the water sector regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The recovery of resources from the water chain plays an important role in this context.
