Corporate governance

Corporate governance stands for good entrepreneurship and the accountability of its supervision. Good entrepreneurship means that management acts with integrity and transparency, and is subject to good supervision. Like our shareholders, we attach great importance to the Dutch Corporate Governance Code, in which principles like transparency and integrity are central. This fits in with the societal function that AquaMinerals fulfils. Even if AquaMinerals is not a publicly listed company, we choose to observe the principles of good corporate governance and the associated best practice provisions, insofar as they are applicable.

There is transparency in the AquaMinerals corporate management, including rules for management and the supervisory board, and provisions for whistle-blowers. Moreover, in 2011, a company-tailored internal risk management and control system was implemented.
